Episode 86: Dicey Dungeons

We’re back for a full Fall quarter of new episodes covering all kinds of tunes. This week we bent the knee and prayed to the God of RNG. Dicey Dungeons is a fantastic little rogue-like intro to the deck-building format. In the vein of Slay the Spire and Monster Train, you’re tasked every fresh run with trying to defeat random foes with random equipment and random dice that determine what moves you can use and what damage you deal.

A lot is left to chance, but you do have to figure out what best equipment is suited for each character on a given run. It is immensely replayable too, with ramping difficulty episodes that utilize optional modifiers.

Perhaps best of all though? Chipzel’s incredible soundtrack. Chippy, jazzy, funky, and overflowing with pizazz. Hope you enjoyed!
